Which race are you?

Now that StarCraft 2 has released and you have logged in some hours; which race do you prefer? Do you stick with your own kind in Terrans and play as the exiled humans; or do you use Zerg because insects are your thing; or are you all about the head games and use Protoss?

StarCraft 2 Released!

ATTENTION: All Protoss, Terran, and Zerg, report to nearest store and grab a copy of StarCraft 2 before it’s too late! (Actually, I’m pretty sure there’s plenty of copies available.)
With StarCraft 2 finally being released, it’s only a matter of time until iNcontroL and Machine’s strategy guide is available to the public; and let me tell you that it keeps getting better and better. Everything is laid out in a very simple, yet concise manner, so no one will be left behind while using the strategy guide.

Bridging the Gap

After speaking with iNcontroL and Machine (aka Geoff and Bryce) today, the creators of the upcoming StarCraft 2 strategy guide, I got the sense that they are really accomplishing something special here. “What this guide is going to do is bridge the gap,” Geoff said, “between the casual, or even competitive player, and the higher leagues.”
Bryce added, “The main purpose of this guide is to try to help and strengthen the online community.”
It’s hard to argue with almost 20 years of experience, and after talking with these guys, this StarCraft 2 strategy guide is going to change the way people learn the game.

What a Starcraft 2 guide should be

We got a chance to review some Starcraft 2 guides this week and we weren’t that impressed.  They were difficult to follow.  Get ready for the launch of our Starcraft 2 guide.  We are changing the way video game guides are to be used.  Stay tuned and check back often as we are wrapping it up for launch this month.

Finding the most efficient Starcraft 2 guide

Finding the most efficient Starcraft 2 guide from among dozens is one of the most challenging parts to learning the game. It would take you hundreds of hours to master every strategy in most Starcraft 2 strategy guides.  Reality is most people do not have that kind of time and really only bother to learn a few Starcraft 2 strategies if any at all.  But learning some of the most important strategies will definitely give you an edge over your competition and allow you to potentially win the game.

A good Starcraft 2 guide is to master the Zerg build order.  You should learn the build order for a moderate rush that usually happens before your opponent has any units.  This works very well on Terran and Zerg and make sure to micro efficiently.

You should use your queens in groups of 2 as a defensive unit.  Using the Nydus Canal compensates for the queens lack of speed.  The strategy is flexible and rush proof while at the same time somewhat risky.  You just need to protect your queen and keep it behind the mineral line.  Just make sure you use larva injection and constantly build drones.

Learning a roach rush is also a good Starcraft 2 strategy. If you rush before your opponent you have a better chance of success or stopping their rush with your roaches.  Just use the correct build order, overload, spawning pool and gas specified when you find the instructions in a good Starcraft 2 strategy guide.  If you can learn and implement these Starcraft 2 guides you will gain a significant edge over your opponent.
